Local Impact in Hamilton County, Indiana

Hamilton County is known for its strong schools and community support, yet many youth here still encounter significant challenges that affect their growth and stability. Annually, across all Hamilton County Youth Assistance Programs, we receive over 500 referrals for young people in need of guidance and resources to overcome these challenges. Our community is diverse, with more than 125 languages spoken in the majority of our school districts, making culturally sensitive support essential to our mission.

Educational Challenges

School attendance and academic success are essential to youth well-being. In Hamilton County, schools report a growing need for attendance and academic support post-pandemic, emphasizing the importance of mentorship, tutoring, and educational assistance. 

Food and Financial Insecurity

Despite Hamilton County’s overall prosperity, many families face financial and food insecurity. Our program provides critical support to ensure that all children have access to the essentials they need to thrive.

Our Reach and Impact: Youth Assistance Program Successes

Serving Over 500 Youth and Families annually across six school districts in Hamilton County, our programs provide life-changing services to more than 500 youth and families each year, addressing challenges ranging from mental health and food security to educational support and beyond.

Mentorship and Tutoring Impact

Since 2020, the demand for tutoring services has tripled, with our programs delivering over 10,000 hours of academic support to date. Mentorship remains a cornerstone of our work, providing youth with positive relationships and role models.

Community Engagement and Volunteer Support

Our mission is sustained by the commitment of hundreds of local volunteers who serve as mentors, tutors, and advocates. Additionally, we raise over $1 million annually, thanks to the generosity of donors and community members, to fund essential services for families.
